Two-Factor Authentication Walkthrough

Learn how to set up Two-Factor Authentication for your Planning Pod Log-in.

Here at Planning Pod, keeping your account and event data secure is one of our top priorities. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Two-Factor Authentication—an extra layer of security for your login.

With Two-Factor Authentication enabled, you'll use a one-time code (sent to your email or phone) along with your password to access your account, helping protect your information! It’s a simple way to add more peace of mind and keep your events running smoothly.

How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication in your Planning Pod Account.

  • Once logged into your account, click on your name in the left hand corner and select "Settings"
  • In the "Administrative" panel, select "Two-Factor Authentication"
  • Click on the box in the "Enable two-Factor Authentication?" to "Yes" and more settings will appear.
  • Select your preferred verification method: Text Message or Email (You only need to choose one).
    • For Text message, Enter your phone number with no spaces and the US country code. (example +15551112222) For US based numbers only.
    • For email, add in your preferred email address.

  • Then click "Save & Verify". Please allow the system a moment to process and verify the information.
  • You will then get a code via text message or email that will be used to activate two-factor authentication. You must finish this setup in order for two-Factor Authentication to be active.
  • Once it's fully connected, you'll be able to use it when logging into the system. First you'll start the log in as usual, then you'll be taken to a page that looks like this and you can enter in the code you receive from your mobile device or email.

Can I have all my users move to this verification?
- Each user will need to set this up in their individual account and to do so, they will need access to the settings of the account. You cannot set this up for them.

What's the point of Two-Factor Authentication? Do I have to set it up?
- This setting is completely optional to use on our end. Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring not just your password, but also a unique code from your device. This means that even if someone gets hold of your password, they still can’t access your account without that second piece of information. It’s one of the easiest and most effective ways to keep your data secure!

We take data protection very seriously and make every effort and use the latest technologies to maintain the security and confidentiality of our customers' data. For more details, check out our Privacy Policy: https://www.planningpod.com/privacy.cfm
