Our team understands the events industry inside and out. With decades of combined experience, we provide the expert advice you need to navigate the unique challenges of running an event-based organization.
Our story began in the early 2000s, when our co-founder Steve and his (now) wife Tammy were planning their wedding. Frustrated by the lack of tools available to manage the process, Steve taught himself to code and built the first version of what would later become Planning Pod.
From those humble beginnings, our founders, Steve and Jeff, began serving professionals across the events industry. As our platform evolved, so did our team—bringing on passionate, experienced people who’ve helped shape Planning Pod into what it is today: a dynamic team of 15 serving tens-of-thousands of users around the world. We’ve stayed lean and focused, allowing us to grow intentionally while remaining deeply connected to the customers we serve.
What started as a solution for couples and planners quickly caught the attention of venues. When they began adopting the platform for their own workflows, we realized there was an even bigger opportunity—one that the broader software industry was overlooking. So we leaned in and built a fully integrated event and venue management platform, designed to be tailored for the needs of event organizations at any stage of growth.
